Description

Join the Western New York Genealogical Society as it takes its April workshop on the road for a special "members only" trip to Rochester for a day of learning and networking with the members of the Rochester (NY) Genealogical Society. Our friends at the RGS will be presenting an all-day event with expert, Katherine R. Willson.


Those wishing to participate in this program must FIRST complete online registration with the RGS at http://nyrgs.org/Events.html (opens February 1st).

Thanks to the generosity of an WNYGS member who wishes to remain anonymous, the Society will be offering free transportation to and from the event for up to 19 members. Grand Tours will be the tour operator. Members will be transported using a standard school bus; the bus has open steps with a handrail. (Cost: Transportation is free for Society members, but donations in support of WNYGS are gratefully accepted).

The travel schedule is as follows:

  • 7:15 a.m. Promptly depart from NYS Thruway Authority Park and Ride - Exit 49 - Depew (Paved, lit parking lot for 50 immediately before the toll booths - across from Garden Place Hotel on Transit Road)
  • 8:30 a.m. Arrive at venue
  • 4:15 p.m. Departure from Pittsford, NY
  • 5:30 p.m. Return to Park and Ride


Registration: Seating is limited. Advanced registration and completed liability waiver are required for all participants. Please reserve your seat on the bus no later than April 20th by visiting https://2019wnygsbustrip.eventbrite.com.
